|In January, Patty will head out on a mini tour prior to the record release. The big tour will start in March but look for shows in Texas, Chicago, Boston, New York, Philly and LA starting around mid-January. We should have more details shortly but these shows will be promoted through local radio stations and will have a limited number of tix available. It will be a great opportunity for some lucky fans to catch Patty in some smaller venues.|

|Today is the first day of official recording with the band for Patty's new record. They are working in Austin for the next couple of weeks. The band includes JD Foster, Doug Lancio and Michael Longoria and Michael McCarthy is co-producing with Patty. She'll be recording a lot of the new material that she played while on the spring tour. |

|ATO Records has confirmed that Patty's version of "Moon River" will be on the second volume of the soundtrack to Elizabethtown, the Cameron Crowe film. It is due for release on February 7th, the same day as the movie's DVD release. |

|The "Loggerheads" soundtrack will be released on October 10th. The soundtrack features songs from the film by Patty Griffin, Mark Geary, Grey DeLisle, Andrew T. Hunt and Robbie Fulks, as well as songs by Kim Carnes, John Crooke and Kelley McRae. John Crooke recorded Patty's song “Forgiveness” for the collection. The film will be released in select cities on October 14th.|
|On September 29, Patty taped a duet with Melissa Etheridge for Lifetime Television’s "Women Rock! Our Journey with Melissa Etheridge". The pair performed When It Don't Come Easy and Long Ride Home. The program will air on October 18.|

|Elizabethtown premiered in Kentucky and Tennessee September 18 and 19. Patty performed her song from the soundtrack, Long Ride Home, at the Franklin, Tennessee premiere on September 19. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on October 14 and the soundtrack is now available from Amazon.com.|
|Patty will perform at “Miracles of Music”, a concert also featuring Emmylou Harris, Buddy Miller and others, all of whom are donating their performances to raise money for two Austin organizations, Mobile Loaves & Fishes and The Miracle Foundation. The show is November 10th at 8pm at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, TX. All proceeds from the concert will benefit those served by the two organizations. |Patty will perform at Neighbors in Need, a benefit concert to help people from the Gulf Coast region who were forced out of their homes, schools and jobs due to Hurricane Katrina. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Red Cross Katrina Relief effort. |Tracks from My Morning Jacket, Nancy Wilson, Sun Kil Moon (covering Neil Diamond's "Kentucky Woman"), Elvis Presley, Patty Griffin and Bill Monroe will be featured on the EP "Songs From the Brown Hotel," which will be available via the Coalition of Independent Music Stores' Junket Boy imprint beginning Aug. 16.
The set will be limited to 5000 CD copies and 1000 copies of a three-piece seven-inch vinyl collection, with the vinyl featuring an alternate Sun Kil Moon version of "Kentucky Woman." Proceeds will benefit the Louisville-based Center for Women and Families, which assists victims of domestic and sexual abuse.

|A cd has just been released of the sold out Tsunami benefit concert hosted by Willie Nelson in January. Patty appears on 3 of the songs. Songs for Tsunami Relief: Austin to South Asia is available now. A DVD of the event is available as well.|
|Three of Patty's songs, "Forgiveness", "Rowing Song" and "Cold As It Gets", will appear in the movie "Loggerheads" which is currently screening at fesitvals across the country. It was also a selection for dramatic competition at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.|

|Patty's Impossible Dream was nominated for a Grammy Award today in the Best Contemporary Folk Album category. Impossible Dream will compete against albums by Ani DiFranco, Steve Earle, Eliza Gilkyson, and a collaborative effort called The Unbroken Circle - The Musical Heritage Of The Carter Family.

The show was recorded on May 24, 2004 and includes Uselss Desires, When It Don't Come Easy, Mil Besos, Kite Song, and Long Ride Home. She shares the hour long show with Damien Rice.|
|On September 21, a CD will be released called 13 Ways To Live. Patty has one track on the cd called "My Dear Old Friend" which she penned but was previously recorded by Mary Chapin Carpenter. Other artists appearing on the cd include Abra Moore, Eliza Gilkyson, and Alejandro Escovedo. The cd was put together by Screen Door Music, produced by former Patty band member, Brian Standefer.
